Mike and his wife, Pauli, live outside of Boston with their two children, Ella and Ian. Family is of primary importance to him and he weaves this point of view into all his presentations.

As a former camper, counselor and administrator, Mike's summers have been connected in meaningful ways to camp for as long as he can remember. He worked at traditional day and overnight camps, as well as a camp for children with special needs. Over the past decade, Mike has presented at day and residential camps as a staff trainer.

For over twenty-five years, Mike has been a public school teacher in Newton, Massachusetts and has worked with students at different grade levels. His first-hand experience with children and families lends an authenticity to his work that resonates with faculty members and student leaders.
