Mike and his wife, Pauli, live outside of Boston with their two children, Ella and Ian. Family is of primary importance to him and he weaves this point of view into all his presentations.

For as long as he can recall, Mike's summers have been connected in meaningful ways to camp. He has been a camper, CIT, counselor, administrator, and alumni board president. Over the past decade, Mike has presented at day and residential camps as a staff trainer and consultant.
For over 25 years, Mike has been a public school teacher in Newton, Massachusetts and has worked with students at different grade levels. His first-hand experience with children and families lends an authenticity to his work that resonates with faculty members and student leaders. He graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in psychology. He was a Community Advisor for the Office of Residential Life and a tour guide for the Office of Admissions. Mike received his master's degree in elementary and special education from Wheelock College.
